RFD distributes a range of EPIRBs and search and rescue transponders. An EPIRB (Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacon) is these days, considered an essential complement to traditional safety equipment such as liferafts.

Having a distress beacon on board definitely contributes to the crew's optimum safety.
