| RFD will
only use the information that it collects about you lawfully in accordance
with the Data Protection Acts 1984 and 1998. RFD collects information
about you to process your order and to help provide you with a better
service in the future.
RFD does not send unsolicited mail and gives you the opportunity
to refuse marketing email. RFD never passes any of your information
to third parties without first gaining your specific consent unless
not to do so would involve breaking the law. The only exception to
this is if RFD is sold or part of it is sold, in which case your information
will be shared with the purchaser, who may then provide you with information
about products, services, promotions and offers.
RFD may transfer your information outside the European Economic Area.
1 Data Protection Act
RFD is conscious of its responsibilities under the Data Protection
Act 1998. RFD shall endeavour to process any personal information
relating to you, from which you may be identified, in accordance with
that Act. Information may be processed in accordance with RFD’s
Data Protection Registration and RFD shall not process your personal
information in any manner incompatible with those purposes or without
your consent unless it is required by law to do so. In addition, RFD
shall not collect any sensitive personal data about you without your
explicit consent and RFD shall not retain information relating to
you longer than is necessary for the purposes for which it was obtained.
2 Information RFD needs
The information RFD collects varies depending upon which part of the
website you visit and how you interact with it. Information about
you may be collected without you being aware of it. For RFD to process
your queries RFD needs to know your name and postal address; for email
responses RFD only requires your email address.
3 Security of personal information
RFD may use technology to track the patterns of behaviour of visitors
to its site. This can include using a “cookie” which would
be stored on your browser. You can usually modify your browser to
prevent this happening.
4 How RFD protects the information it processes
RFD has put in place measures which ensure the security of the information
it collects and its correct use. These are appropriate to the nature
of the information and prevent unauthorised access.
5 The Accuracy of your information
While RFD endeavours to ensure that the information it holds about
you is accurate and, where necessary, kept up to date, it shall assume
that in the absence of evidence to the contrary, that the information
you provide is accurate.
